Job Description: Maintenance Planner

Overview:

As a Maintenance Planner, you will be integral to our operations, ensuring the effective scheduling and coordination of maintenance activities for our diverse fleet of heavy equipment and light vehicles. Your role is vital in minimizing downtime, optimizing resources, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our maintenance operations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintenance Scheduling: Develop and maintain comprehensive maintenance schedules for all heavy equipment and light vehicles, ensuring timely servicing and repairs.
  2. Resource Allocation: Coordinate with the maintenance team to allocate resources efficiently, including manpower, spare parts, and equipment, for scheduled maintenance tasks.
  3. Preventive Maintenance: Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs to extend the lifespan of equipment and vehicles, minimizing unplanned downtime.
  4. Work Order Management: Generate and manage work orders for maintenance tasks, detailing the scope of work, required resources, and estimated timelines.
  5. Inventory Control: Work closely with the procurement team to manage spare parts inventory, ensuring availability for scheduled maintenance and minimizing delays.
  6. Collaboration: Liaise with maintenance technicians, supervisors, and other stakeholders to understand equipment status, operational needs, and prioritize maintenance activities accordingly.
  7. Safety Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and standards. Identify and address potential safety hazards.
  8. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including service history, repairs, and replacements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a MBO/Natin degree in mechanical engineering, automotive technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance planner, preferably in a heavy equipment or automotive setting.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance planning principles and preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to analyze data for informed decision-making.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations in maintenance operations.
