Metal Preservation

Grit-blast and coating services is also part of our services portfolio. Grit-blasting is a form of surface preservation of, amid others, carbon steel pipes, tanks, trailers and other steel constructions before applying protective coatings.

We comply with different standards for surface preservation defined by the SSPC (Society of Protective Coatings) and NACE International, such as solvent cleaning, hand- and power tool cleaning, blast cleaning and water Jetting. We are specialized in Blast cleaning up to SSPC SP10/NACE2 standard – Near-White blast cleaning. The objective of this standard is to remove all rust, coating, and that mill scale and staining is limited to not more than 5 (five) percent of each surface area. When viewed without magnification, the surface shall be free of all visible oil, grease, dirt, dust, mill scale, rust, coating, oxides, corrosion products and other foreign matter of at least 95% of each unit area.

Blast Cleaning Abrasive

For the blast cleaning abrasive, we use for cleaning the materials “BLACK BEAUTY” COAL SLAG manufactured by “HARSCO Metals & Minerals”. The type of abrasive meets the standards for Industry abrasive specifications (SSPC AB1). We adapt according to our client’s needs and specifications for each project

Coating application

Our certified painters are specialized in the application of various epoxy coatings, such as Nova guard 840 and Sigma coatings(3-layered coating system), which is also available on the local supplier’s market.

QA/QC on material conservation

To ensure that coatings are applied according to the standards and procedures defined by the client, we hire services of an independent Certified Coating Inspector per project. The coating inspector monitors the entire coating procedure, starting from the surface preparation. We for each job we provide QA report after the inspection to our client.
