Our Project Managers and Supervisors have the capability to help our customers solve problems, quantify and implement solutions for their business. Our diverse team of managers, supervisors, fusion operators, pipe fitters, welders, sheet metal mechanics, crane and other heavy equipment operators have the talent and experience to handle your companies’ project needs.
Production facilities present specific challenges that are not present in residential or commercial construction. We have the resources to identify & overcome these unique challenges.
We are primarily specialized in Industrial Fusion, Fabrication and pre-assembling, construction and installation of all diameters HDPE pipes and hereto- related pre-assembled units till connection to other facilities, such as pumps, manifolds, pipelines or any other such pre-assembled or pre-installed units.
For every project we provide a detailed agreed upon Project execution plan including a time schedule for our Customers to monitor timely completion of the various activities till hand-over of the project. We deliver our projects with a hand-over document, including all project specific planning and project execution details and Quality Control/Quality Assurances.

Currently, we have the most McElroy fusion equipment, McElroy quality measuring instruments, McElroy certified and experienced fusion operators for fusing small and large diameter HDPE pipes up to 65-inch.
Our fusion jobs are checked and assessed against international standards such as ASTM F2620-12 for Butt-Fusion HDPE pipeline fusion by a Mc Elroy fully certified international Fusion Quality Inspector to guarantee the best quality to our customers.
The McElroy Fusion Quality Inspector analyzes the data plot-sheet of every fusion joint.
Fusion joints which are not in compliance with the standards are being cut-out and re- fused. After each fusion the beads are also visually inspected, whereby unacceptable beats are being cut-out and re-fused.
The use of data-loggers ensures that the correct parameters, such as interfacial pressure, temperature, heat-soak time and cooling time are used during the fusion process.
Furthermore, this data is made available to our Customers for their convenience and analysis.
We currently own 2 series of the McElroy Dataloggers, the Datalogger 4 and Datalogger 5. The figure shows the Datalogger 5. (Figure 4)

Fast Fusion machine
Fast Fusion Technology – Since July 2017
With this Fast Fusion machine the cooling time of the fusion cycle can be reduced by almost 70%, while the complete fusion process can be decreased by 50%.
pipe straightener
Usually, small diameter HDPE pipes are supplied in coils, which are under a high tension. Therefore, it is necessary to have the proper equipment to safely uncoil these pipes.
Before coiled pipelines, mostly 4-inch HDPE pipeline, can be used these have to be rolled-out and straightened. To ensure safely and effective uncoiling, we use a pipe- straightener. The pipe straightener is illustrated in figure 7 above. We currently have one pipe-straightener.
MEGAMC Polyhorse installation
The polyhorse installation can be applied only if there is enough space on site to properly and safely set-up this installation.
The Polyhorse installation increases the efficiency of the fusion process up to 150% and also ensures much more safety of the workers during the pipe fusion works.
Welding and Construction is the second major service we provide. Our steel construction team has a huge experience in maintenance, demolishing and construction of carbon steel storage tanks and hereto-related equipment in accordance with API specifications. As an integral part of the tank building process, we also provide services for grit blasting, painting, hydro testing till connection to other facilities such as pumps, manifolds, pipelines or any such other pre-assembled or pre-installed units.
Currently, we have all necessary equipment, tools and others instruments, including certified and experience welders, pipefitters, painters and grit blasters. Our welding jobs are checked and assessed against international standards by an international certified Welding Inspector to guarantee the best quality to our customers. To further expand our services to meet our Customers increasing demands, we have bought own welding “Robot”. This machine should enable us to further improve the quality, effectivity and efficiency of this service to our customers.

In September 2015 we finished a tank construction project at the TA-58 plant of Staatsolie Maatschappij Suriname N.V. at Saramacca. Our scope was to fabricate 3 of the 5 ea. 500 bbl. collection / storage carbon steel tanks; 3 tanks were completed by another contractor. STP provided the manpower, equipment and materials for the 3 ea. 500 bbl. Carbon steel tanks.
In February 2016, we demolished and constructed a 3020 bbl. carbon steel storage tank at the Josi plant of Staatsolie Maatschappij Suriname N.V. at Saramacca. The existing 3020 bbl. carbon steel storage tank was heavily corroded and needed to be replaced on the same tank foundation, meaning the corroded tank needed to be demolished first.
This tank was demolished by means of the gouging method, where after the construction of the new tank was started.
In December 2017 we demolished and constructed 5000 bbl. Collection Tank #1. The existing 5000 bbl. carbon steel storage tank was replaced with a new 5000 bbl. carbon steel storage tank on the same location. The tank was demolished by means of the gouging, where after the new tank was built by our certified welders under supervision of our experienced project manager and Certified Welding Inspector.
We have recently expanded our service portfolio in industrial construction with the installation and connection of flex steel pipes and fittings to other facilities. Flexsteel pipes are considered the next generation of pipeline technologies. We are proud to announce that this pipe will be installed at Staatsolie for the first time in Suriname and Staatsolie has awarded the contract to our company to carry out the works, due to our proven professionalism and willingness to always work together with our customers to the next level. Therefore, we have invested sustainably in a dedicated group of our dedicated staff by having them certified by experts from the manufacturer itself to install these pipes on a professional and safe manner taking into consideration the requirements of our customer. We know that we are more than ready for the next level of this new pipe technology.
Since this is a new pipe technology in Suriname, we are we are very excited to take our organization to a higher level with this new technology by investing sustainably in our resources and relationship with the manufacturer.
We also provide services for lifting works with certified operators and certified lifting equipment on a safe and responsible manner. For these services, we own 2 mobile cranes, namely a “CHANGJIANG” mobile crane with a capacity of 36 tons and a “TEREX” mobile crane with a lifting capacity of 65 tons.
Certified Crane operators and Riggers skillfully lift and move any object in a safe manner. Prior to start with the works, a lifting plan and a Job Safety Analysis (JSA) is made and discussed with every team member. The correct lifting tools, such as certified and job specific slings, chains, or hooks are used for each specific job.
Grit-blast and coating services is also part of our services portfolio. Grit-blasting is a form of surface preservation of, amid others, carbon steel pipes, tanks, trailers and other steel constructions before applying protective coatings.
We comply with different standards for surface preservation defined by the SSPC (Society of Protective Coatings) and NACE International, such as solvent cleaning, hand- and power tool cleaning, blast cleaning and water Jetting. We are specialized in Blast cleaning up to SSPC SP10/NACE2 standard – Near-White blast cleaning. The objective of this standard is to remove all rust, coating, and that mill scale and staining is limited to not more than 5 (five) percent of each surface area. When viewed without magnification, the surface shall be free of all visible oil, grease, dirt, dust, mill scale, rust, coating, oxides, corrosion products and other foreign matter of at least 95% of each unit area.
For the blast cleaning abrasive, we use for cleaning the materials “BLACK BEAUTY” COAL SLAG manufactured by “HARSCO Metals & Minerals”. The type of abrasive meets the standards for Industry abrasive specifications (SSPC AB1). We adapt according to our client’s needs and specifications for each project
To ensure that coatings are applied according to the standards and procedures defined by the client, we hire services of an independent Certified Coating Inspector per project. The coating inspector monitors the entire coating procedure, starting from the surface preparation. We for each job we provide QA report after the inspection to our client.
We are one of the very few companies in Suriname offering premium quality labor services of experienced, highly qualified and international certified experts. In our team we have locals and also expatriates with who are ready to provide quality services to full satisfaction of our customers.
We proudly mention that we have provided labor services to large projects already in the refining and mining industry, such as construction of the Staatsolie Refinery with almost 600 skilled labors for various construction jobs and “Newmont” with 80 skilled construction workers for phase 1 of their project.
We do not yet provide these services on a large scale, because we have not yet advertised much about them. Still, it is worth noting that all purchases for our company in the local, regional and international supplier market are made directly by us.
In this context, we have already developed business relation with many foreign suppliers, shippers and also third parties, who ensure that all logistics from the supplier abroad to arrival in the ports of Suriname are done on time and correctly at the most favorable conditions.
We are therefore ready to provide these services as well, and are preparing to further expand these services in the near future.
